9th SDC-NFP Coordinators Meeting

9^th SDC-NFP Coordinators Meeting was held in Hyderabad, India from 30^th to 31^st July 2013. SDC-NFP Coordinators from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka attended the meeting.

Fellowship in Research and Advanced Training (FRAT) 2013

FRAT was introduced to enhance the research capacity of potential information scientists in & the

SAARC Region. The programme in aimed at particularly those embarking on their research career,

and also to encourage them to foster cross cultural linkages for collaborative work. The following

candidates from different Member States were selected for FRAT 2013 session.

1. Mr. Rahmat gul Ahmadi from Afghanistan

2. Mr. Md. Abdur Ruof Bin Abedin from Bangladesh

3. Dr. Gopa Ghosh from India

4. Ms. Vibha Gupta from India

5. Mrs. Lunashree Upadhaya from Nepal

6. Mr. Hafiz Aamir Rasul from Pakistan

Short Term Training Programme on Office Automation

A Short Term Training Programme on Office Automation was held from 3^rd June 2013 to 5^th July 2013. This is the first time that a course has been conducted for persons working in the fields of administration and finance. Thirteen Participants from the SAARC Member States like Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka had attended this training programme.

Joint Audit Team (JAT) 2012 of SDC

The Joint Audit Team of Mr. Ahmed Aslam (Senior Auditor, Auditor’s General Office) from Maldives and Mr. Bhava Nath Dahal (Director, Officer of the Auditor General) from Nepal audited the SDC Accounts for the year 2012 on 31^st May - 1^st June 2013.
