30th SAARC Charter Day

 SAARC Documentation Centre (SDC) celebrated the 30th SAARC Charter Day at SDC, 14 Satsang Vihar Marg, New Delhi.In order to commemorate the SAARC Charter Day, the Centre organized an elocution competition on SAARC for the visually challenged school children.

Workshop on Essential Skills for New Age Information Professionals

Workshop  on Essential Skills for New Age Information Professionals  was conducted in collaboration with National Library of Maldives from 30th November to 4th December 2014. Forty Eight participants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Sri Lanka and the SAARC Secretariat, Kathmandu, Nepal attended the Workshop.

SAARC Conference on Open Access

SAARC Conference on Open Access was organized in collaboration with CSIR- URDIP. The conference was organized in order to create awareness about the this growing Open Access moment and to equip the information professionals from SAARC countries with tools to develop IRs. Seventy Participants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Sri Lanka attended this Course which held  from 13th to 14th October 2014.

Ten days Course on Research Methodology.

Ten day Course on Research Methodology was organized in collaboration with East-West University in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The purpose of Course is define research and describe the research process and research method and requirement for conduction successful research.  Twenty Six participants from Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka attended this Course which held from 15th to 26th September 2014.

Five Days Course On Bibliometric Tools And Techniques

 Five days Course on Bibliometric Tools and Techniques was Organized in collaboration with Pondicherry University in  Puducherry, India. The importance of Bibliometric for the SAARC region was emphazied during the Course. The participants were imparted training to effectively use citation and some bibliometric software tools and techniques. Thirty Participants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives Nepal and Sri Lanka attended this Course which held from 25th to 29th August 2014.
